For this project, we are creating plans for a project that interests us. Many other LTEC students have created project plans for vacations, home renovations, and more.
Project Components:
Request for Proposal (RFP)
Proposal
Project Plan
Project Resources and Cost Estimates
Risk Assessment
For this assignment, we crafted RFPs based on 14 guidelines in Chapter 2 of Successful Project Management (2018).
Assignment Overview:
"Create an RFP for a project that interests you. This RFP is the basis for other work you will complete during the course. In this module, you will create an RFP for a project. In the next module, you will create a proposal in answer to the RFP you created. In Modules 4, 5, and 6, you will create the project plan, identify tasks, determine the required resources, assign costs, assess risks, and create an evaluation tool to assess the project if it were completed."
Assignment Overview:
"In this module, you will create a proposal in answer to the RFP you created.
Proposals in response to an RFP should be developed to meet the requirements of the RFP. Typically, a proposal has a technical section, management section, and cost section. The proposal contents are described in Chapter 3, Developing Project Proposals, with expansion of what is expected in each section.
Using your RFP from the prior module, develop a proposal in response to your RFP. Use the information in Chapter 3 to serve as a checklist for your proposal. Sometimes a short proposal is adequate to address the RFP request."
